My new iBook arrived around 13:00 – it is already up and running and connected to the Internet and I’ve installed and configured all the apps I need for the moment. The whole process has been pretty painless (as one might expect from an Apple product).

I can hardly wait to bring it in to the LSE and show it off…

  1. Welcome to the Mac club! I (and I’m sure other Mac users) will be glad to offer advice and support on the transition. But then it’s all so easy you won’t need it:-)
… but do try ecto for blogging, Shrook for newsreader, Voodoopad for notes…

  2. Another opinion: Blogging is good using Safari, NewsFire for RSS feed reader (who uses Usenet these days?), TextWrangler for notes (or TextEdit if you want styled text).
