I suppose in retrospect it was inevitable – a little Windows program that claims to always keep you up to date with the latest state of anti-terrorism alert in the US.

    Hi.

I had never heard of a “blog” until this evening on NPR.

This is a VERY, very cool site for a beginner “blogger” such as myself.

    I am a highly-educated (Phd level) woman.

One woman commented (on the NPR program tonight) that these “blogs” are sexist…that very few female “bloggers” have gained any noteriety nor attracted much attention.

Someone’s response on the program (was it you, David?) indicated that it would be great if the Anais Nin of blogs would surface.

I think I might be her. I am a writer of fiction. I am a writer of very EROTIC fiction with a fair amount of adventure thrown in, and a great deal of poiltical intrigue.

The problem is, I need to get paid for my work.

Anais made her living (supported herself in style, in fact) by publishing her erotic fiction in Paris, France in the 1930’s.

Alas, blogs are free for all to read (and therefore, are extremely valuable to the world!)

    However, I need to eat.

Therefor, I must keep my wildly erotic stories to myself for a while, until I’m ready to write my own book.

But you guys — all you blogger people — are SO cool!

WOW! What a powerful new voice of “the people.”

    I’m impressed. Really.

If every one who reads my Anais Nin – type posts (that include daily erotic descrptions of my wild, single-girl sex-life here in Salt Lake City) sends me a dollar, maybe I’ll consider posting them.

(I’m pretty HOT, believe me. And I’m a bit of an exibitionist. I might even be talked into posting photos!)

Kidding, really. I’ve considered that sort of life and decided that being sexually used up and spiritually spit out is not for me.

However, everyone I’ve ever shown it to has told me that my fiction is among the most erotic they have ever read…

Thus, my fear of publishing, (perhaps…)

BECAUSE: Dad (literature professor) reads everything that ever gets into print.

Possible solution: Dad doesn’t read blogs!

So maybe I’ll become your “Anais Nin” after all,
pouring my sexual fantaies into BLOGS that will become the most popular BLOGS in BLOG history…”

    Well, enough about me.

FIGHTING FOR PEACE IS LIKE F*#!ING FOR VIRGINITY!

    Thanks for hearing me out.
